Vision:

Saint Clair Evans Academy will make a positive difference in the lives of our children through a professionally supported academic environment. Teachers and staff will assist each student in achieving their highest potential as they grow both academically and socially. Within our academic learning community, each student will flourish to become a positive member of society.

History:

Moncrief Elementary School was renamed in 1998 to honor the memory of Saint Clair Evans, the school’s first principal when the school opened in 1952. Mr. Evans was a graduate of Florida A&M and received a Masters Degree from New York University. He was also principal at Douglas Anderson High School and West Lewisville Elementary. He raised money to ensure that no child went hungry in his school years before the free lunch
